The International Student Association (ISA) of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) recently celebrated a major milestone—its 13th anniversary—highlighting more than a decade of dedicated service, growth, and contributions to the international student experience. The event marked not only the passage of time but also the continuous efforts of the ISA to foster a supportive, inclusive, and culturally diverse academic environment at RSU.
Held at the VEF Culture Palace, the celebration brought together a wide array of guests, including members of the University Administration, with RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons in attendance. Also present were ISA Board members from 2024 and 2025, representatives from Academic, National, and Sports Societies, Semester Leaders, and many valued members of the student body. The evening was enriched by musical performances from talented RSU students, creating a vibrant and memorable atmosphere.
The anniversary served as a platform to acknowledge and reward outstanding contributions within the RSU community. The ceremony featured a series of awards presented to societies and individuals who have exemplified the values of excellence, engagement, and intercultural cooperation.
- The Best Academic Society award was presented to the Surgical Association (SurA).
- The Best National Society award was awarded to Associazione Studenti Italiani a Riga (ASIR).
