A Night Under the Northern Lights: The Aurora Borealis Winter Ball Brings Magic to Riga

On the 29th of November, the International Students’ Association (ISA) of Riga Stradiņš University transformed  ATTA Centre into a glimmering wonderland for one of the most anticipated events of the year — the Aurora Borealis Winter Ball.

The event lived up to its name, capturing the essence of the northern lights with an atmosphere buzzing with energy. It was a celebration of the vibrant, multicultural community at RSU. Students from all over the globe came together and ready to enjoy a night of music, dancing, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

“The goal of the Aurora Borealis Winter Ball was to bring people together in a classy and warm-hearted setting before the holidays.”

The night began with a welcome drink and snack, followed by a live performance from the Long Lake Band and DJ Cimmis, a talented DJ that offered us tunes that kept the dance floor packed all evening. With cultural diversity at the heart of the event, guests enjoyed a blend of international music and dance styles that reflected RSU’s global spirit.

Memories to Last a Lifetime

ISA made sure to provide something special for everyone, including fun activities like the photo booth and the 360 video spinner — perfect for capturing moments and creating memories that will last forever.

Guests left the event with smiles on their faces, thanks to the special details that made the night unforgettable. From the lively music to the festive photo opportunities, the Winter Ball served as a reminder of the unique and vibrant international community at RSU.

Thank you all the Students who joined us. Hope to see you there next year!
