How to Residency in Norway

Are you a medical student considering a career in Norway? The International Student Association (ISA)  hosted an insightful online lecture on the 9th of October at 20:00, titled “How To: Residency in Norway”, designed to guide future doctors through the process of pursuing medical residency in Norway.

The event featured Dr. Linda Vuong and Dr. Hussaina Musaji, both RSU graduates from Sweden who have successfully begun their medical careers in Norway. They shared valuable insights into the steps involved in applying for and securing a residency position, navigating the Norwegian healthcare system, and adapting to the country’s medical and cultural environment.

This session was particularly beneficial for Swedish students and other international medical graduates interested in practicing in Norway. Participants had the opportunity to gain practical advice, learn about the required documentation and language expectations, and understand the everyday realities of working as a doctor in Norway.

For those who couldn’t attend, ISA encourages keeping an eye on upcoming events, each designed to help RSU students make informed decisions about their future careers in medicine across Europe.
