Ciao!
I’m Antonio, but most people know me as Tony. I’m a fourth-year medical student at RSU, originally from Italy. This year, I’m the Medical Science Director.
I have been a nurse for more than a decade and moving into medicine felt like a natural next step. That background shapes how I approach medical education and student support, with a strong focus on teamwork, clear communication, and responsibility. In this role, I work closely with academic societies and scientific activities. I help organise projects and events, share research and conference opportunities, and support communication between international and local students. Medicine is demanding, and many other scientific fields share similar pressures, especially for international students navigating a new system. In medicine and medical sciences, nothing is done alone. Progress comes from working together with a shared aim: patient-centred care. That’s why this role is not about grades or competition, but about collaboration, professional development, and maintaining a healthy balance between academic life and personal life.
If you have ideas, questions, or want to get involved, feel free to come and talk to me. I’m always happy to help.
Thanks, and I look forward to working with you.
